In addition to the dimensions of safety and prosperity, crime changes the way we live our lives, it makes us more hesitant to trust and quicker to pull back, it hurts our ability to form a community. We will work with police and local stakeholders to rebuild the trust between police and policed in Richfield and unite against the criminal element.
A lot of parents are worried about what is going on at their children's schools and feeling that their voices are not being heard. Instead of pitting parents and teachers against each other, we will be fighting to get them working together. That's the only way that our kids are going to get the education that they need and deserve.
We have a nearly $7 billion surplus in the state budget while people are struggling to pay their bills and racing even harder to keep up with inflation. That isn't right. We will work to reduce and address the economic burdens placed on families by high taxes and rising prices without losing sight of our neighbors in need.
Government and its officials should always remember that they work first and foremost for the people. We will bring transparency to government operations through robust communications and outreach and ensuring that Richfield residents know that they have someone advocating for them in St. Paul.
